Rotating unions for DRY RUNNING

The rotating union GIROL series ON-OFF have been designed for machine tool spindles rotating at high speed with the cooling medium circulating or not (dry running) when needed. When the cooling medium is off, the seals are opened, not rubbing on each other. When the medium get in, the seals get automatically closed and leak proof. During the time of the closing of the seals (face and counterface approach and get in contact) some leakages occur and must be evacuated and drained away.
